"Coming to Limoges is always a pleasure"

Less than a week after his impressive run to fourth overall on Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse, Bryan Bouffier will switch his focus from the Intercontinental Rally Challenge to his French championship campaign.

And Bouffier, a podium finisher in the IRC this season, will be competing on an event with considerable significance.

Ten years ago on Rallye du Limousin, Bouffier claimed his first victory in the French Peugeot 206 Cup, while two seasons ago Bouffier triumphed on a French championship rally for the first time.

“Coming to Limoges is always a pleasure,” said Bouffier. “Even though we’ve just come back from Corsica, where we went through some magnificent scenery, the Limousin is a fantastic place too. Who wouldn’t be delighted to come to Peyrat le Château and all the villages around it? It’s also a special place for me as it’s where I took my first win in the Peugeot 206 Cup back in 2002; and it was also my first French Championship rally win in 2010. So I hope that both luck and performance is on my side again there.”

Bouffier has made two appearances in this year’s IRC in the Delta Rally Peugeot 207 Super 2000 he shares with co-driver Xavier Panseri. He is fifth in the drivers’ standings but is unsure of his next IRC outing.
