While Juho Hänninen’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge rivals were in action on Rally San Marino last weekend, the IRC’s most successful driver was in Turkey where he won Bosphorus Rally, the latest round of European championship.

Driving a ŠKODA Motorsport Fabia Super 2000, Hänninen and co-driver Mikko Markkula claimed a comfortable victory on the gravel event near Istanbul with Luca Rossetti, a winner of four IRC events in the past, finishing in third place in a privateer Fabia.

“We are very happy to have won,” said Hänninen afterwards. “Mikko and I made use of our experience on gravel, although the route was an unknown to us and was very slippery, too.”
