Robert Consani plans to adopt an attacking approach when he contests Rallye Sanremo, the penultimate round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge this week.
Frenchman Consani tops the IRC Production Cup and IRC 2WD Cup standings in the Renault Mégane RS he shares with co-driver Nicolas Klinger.
“I think we have a good chance but this is a difficult event and we also need to make sure that everything is reliable: for this it has not been perfect this year,” said Consani. “But I think we have nothing to lose, we will go and attack and see what happens because this year I would like to win at least one title if I can. I’m not sure if it will be possible but of course we will be doing our very best, and I know that driving in Sanremo is going to be a lot of fun."
Rallye Sanremo features 10 stages over a competitive distance of 204.00 kilometres and gets underway on Friday afternoon.
