Craig Breen will make his third start in this season’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge after confirming plans to contest next week’s Targa Florio-Rally Internazionale Di Sicilia.
Irish rising star Breen is tackling four IRC rounds in a Saintéloc Racing-Mister Auto Peugeot 207 Super 2000. With Saintéloc not competing in Sicily, Breen will make a one-off switch to an HRT Motorsport-run Peugeot on the famous asphalt rally.
He said: “It’s a great opportunity for me to drive with HRT Motorsport in the IRC. We will try very hard to put in a good result for the team and aim for a good points haul for our IRC campaign. This opportunity gives me some more time behind the wheel of the Peugeot 207 on Tarmac. After Targa Florio I will return to Saintéloc Racing for [the Geko Ypres Rally] which comes up the following week, so busy but exciting times."
Targa Florio-Rally Internazionale Di Sicilia takes place from 14-16 June.
