Jan Kopecký says he won’t be taking anything for granted on the final day of Barum Czech Rally Zlín, despite leading the Intercontinental Rally Challenge event by 19.7s.

Kopecký was leading his home rally on the final day in 2010 only to crash out when heading to his second straight victory on the demanding asphalt event.

He said: “We are in first position but still tomorrow will be a big fight. In the afternoon we have not been quickest so it’s a little small warning for us and means we need to push a lot tomorrow.

“I don’t think to last year, I think to 2009 when I won. I’m confident but I know they will push a lot because they both want to catch me.”
