LADA looks for answers following pace loss

Unexpected lack of speed in Argentina

LADA Sport Rosneft Team Principal Victor Shapovalov won’t leave any stone unturned as his squad looks to hit back from a frustrating WTCC Race of Argentina weekend.

The Russian team’s drivers Nicky Catsburg, Gabriele Tarquini and Hugo Valente failed to pick up a single FIA World Touring Car Championship point in the two races at Circuito Termas de Río Hondo earlier today.

“We really need to analyse this weekend in great detail,” said Shapovalov. “It is hard to understand exactly what it is, one thing or more that affects our pace. The track, the extra weight for sure and perhaps the top speed of others relative to the things that affected us amplified the difference in lap times. For sure we found some things as the weekend went on so we will take these forward and see how things are at the next tracks.”
