Another stage winning performance from Sebastien Loeb on SS17 moved the Frenchman further ahead in the Jordan Rally as Saturday’s competition reached its midpoint.
With just the repeat loop of the morning’s stages still to run, Loeb leads Ford driver Jari-Matti Latvala by 37.8sec, while Petter Solberg, in a Citroen C4, is third, 20.8sec further back.
Sebastien Loeb’s lead of the Jordan Rally stood at 33.4 seconds after Saturday’s third stage, with the Frenchman remaining on course for victory today.
With his Citroen stable-mate Sebastien Ogier sweeping the road ahead of him, Loeb was second fastest to Petter Solberg through SS15 and the outright stage winner on SS16.
Second overall Jari-Matti Latvala set a string of top three times, but had no answer to Loeb’s pace.
