BFO ŠKODA´s Freddy Loix currently lies fourth in the Canon Mecsek Rallye and feels that small mistakes are the main factor blunting his challenge for the final podium position, currently occupied by Peugeot´s Thierry Neuville.
"It’s going to be quite difficult [to reach the podium] because I’m missing a little bit of speed at the moment compared with the first three cars," he said. "I know why, but I can’t help it at the moment. I think I just have to accept it and try to make no mistakes before the finish.
"It’s a combination of factors. The feeling of the car is better, I have a good feeling but I’m losing a few seconds here and there. I can see where I’m losing but I can’t react for the stage after, so it’s always the same silly mistakes.
"It’s not a question of gravel on the road. If I feel well, like in the Barum Rally, gravel is no problem. It’s more about being on the big attack and about confidence."
