Bruno Magalhães says he can’t wait for Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés to start because of the enthusiastic support he expects to receive from the fans attending the Intercontinental Rally Challenge event.
Magalhães finished fifth on the island contest in 2010 and hopes that the passionate following of the fans in Gran Canaria will help him challenge for his second IRC-career victory.
“It’s a very nice rally with a great atmosphere on the stages,” said the 30-year-old from Portugal. “Everybody supports us on this rally in a good way and I will be pleased to come back.”
Of his chances of victory, the Peugeot Sport Portugal driver added: “I had a good rally there last year and I was pleased with my speed. Okay the stages have changed a little bit for this year but I know more about the place and what to expect. I will try to go as fast as possible.”
