Snow affecting his test in France last week

Kris Meeke says he’s still on course to win Rally Internacional de Curitiba for a second time next month, despite snow affecting the third and final day of his test in France last week.

The Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion was using Peugeot Sport’s 207 S2000 development car on gravel roads in the south of France. He had covered approximately 450 kilometres but then had to stop running when it started to snow.

“It was still a good test even though it was difficult to replicate the conditions we’ll get in Brazil,” said the Peugeot UK driver, 30. “But it definitely wasn’t a bad test because it was more time in the car so we’ll head to the rally in good shape, no problem.”

Meeke, from Northern Ireland, took his first IRC win in Curitiba last season alongside Irish co-driver Paul Nagle in their Kronos Racing-run 207 S2000.
