FIA World Touring Car Championship race winner Norbert Michelisz got up close and personal with Honda’s all-new Civic Type R prototype during the Paris Motor Show recently.

Michelisz, currently in the fight to finish in the top three in the final WTCC standings, joined fellow Honda driver Tiago Monteiro in the French capital last week, spending time on the Honda stand and taking a good look at the new-generation Civic, which will go on sale early next year.

Honda recently announced it would be extending its long-term WTCC commitment into the 2017 season. It has yet to reveal its driver line-up but Michelisz will be keen to remain part of the line-up following an impressive debut season as a factory driver, which included leading home a Honda 1-2-3 at WTCC JVCKENWOOD Race of Japan last month.
