Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion Andreas Mikkelsen reckons he will be even faster on Barum Czech Rally Zlín next week due to his participation on Germany’s round of the world championship this weekend.

Mikkelsen is combining his IRC campaign with ŠKODA UK Motorsport with a selection of WRC events. Of his four wins in the IRC so far, none have come on asphalt, a fact he is hoping to address on Barum Czech Rally Zlín from 31 August-2 September.

“It’s been some time since I have done Tarmac [in the IRC] so it’s good to get a Tarmac rally in Germany the week before I go to Zlín where I really need to go flat out and perform,” said Mikkelsen.
