Following today’s feature race in Monte Carlo, two drivers have been found guilty of causing a collision and as a consequence have been given grid penalties for tomorrow’s sprint race in the streets of Monaco.
The Stewards have found that Simon Trummer and Stefano Coletti were side by side as the Monegasque tried to overtake the Swiss at Turn 19. The two collided ending both of their races effectively. It was considered that Coletti had the right of the line and that Trummer should have given him room to turn.
It was also found that Rene Binder collided with Artem Markelov at Turn 10 during the race.
Both Trummer and Bonder have been given a drop of 5 grid positions in tomorrow’s sprint race.
