Good news for Gianni Morbidelli, as he will be able to take part in today’s races at Marrakech.

The ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport crew worked until the wee small hours to rebuild the Italian driver’s Chevrolet RML Cruze car following the crash with Gabriele Tarquini occurred during yesterday’s second free practice.

“The boys did a great job and we finished working at two o’clock in the morning,” team manager Dominik Greiner said.

What is left of Tarquini’s Honda Civic is already on its way to Le Castellet, where JAS Motorsport will assemble a new car, transplanting all the systems from the wrecked car on a brand new shell that is coming from the team’s workshop.

Filippi gets Fulin’s engine

Only one of Campos Racing’s SEAT León cars will be racing today, after both have met with problems yesterday.

John Filippi was forced to miss the qualifying session because of an engine failure, while Petr Fulín crashed in the dying moment of Q1. As the Czech driver’s car was extensively damaged, the team decided to focus on transplanting Fulín’s engine in Filippi’s car.

“Petr was very understanding and supported us in the decision to give young John the opportunity to take part in his maiden WTCC races in the proper way. We are very grateful and will offer Petr another chance to race with us at the Slovakia Ring,” team manager Joan Orús reported.
