Ricardo Moura’s aim of topping the Group N class in the Azores and Portuguese championships is still on target after the ninth stage of Sata Rallye Açores, round seven of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
Despite dropping time with a puncture on Thursday’s first stage, Moura is eighth overall and comfortably clear of his nearest Group N rival Pedro Peres.
“Today is a lot better than yesterday,” said Moura. “We have changed a little bit the set-up today because the stages have been rough in places but, okay, we’re still on course for achieving our goal and that is the most important thing.”
