Thierry Neuville says he can’t wait to begin his Intercontinental Rally Challenge campaign on Rally Islas Canarias next week.
Neuville, 21, will contest six rounds of the IRC in a Peugeot Team Belux 207 Super 2000 run by the Belgian Kronos Racing team, which guided Nicolas Vouilloz and Kris Meeke to back-to-back IRC drivers’ titles in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
"It’s very exciting and a very big opportunity for me so I can’t wait to get started," said Neuville. "I don’t know the Canarias Rally but I do have some experience of the Peugeot 207 when I did the Ypres Rally in the car last year."
Neuville, who will be co-driven by Nicolas Klinger this season, is due to test his car in Canarias next Monday (April 26).
