Thierry Neuville, who will contest the season-opening Rallye Monte-Carlo in a Team Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg 207 Super 2000, plans to reveal the remainder of his Intercontinental Rally Challenge programme for 2011 in the coming weeks.
Belgian Neuville, 22, was ninth in the final 2010 IRC drivers’ table on the back of a podium finish on his home event, the Geko Ypres Rally last June. He hopes to contest at least seven IRC rounds next season alongside co-driver Nicolas Klinger from France.
“I am really happy with the confidence Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg have shown in me and I will do everything to thank everyone who has helped me by delivering a great result in the championship next season,” said Neuville.
Peugeot Belgium-Luxembourg’s Adelheid Terryn said: “All is not yet completed for the rest of our campaign in the IRC and our programme will be presented in due course. But for Monte-Carlo we could not wait and we decided to go for it.”
