Andreas Mikkelsen will have a new team manager when he begins his Intercontinental Rally Challenge title defence on SATA Rallye Açores from 23-25 February.

Andy Rogers, part of the existing ŠKODA UK Motorsport line-up, has been handed the role and will continue to work closely with Cathie Sleigh, head of ŠKODA UK Motorsport, team principal Pierfrancesco Zanchi and team co-ordinator Dario D’Esposito, plus various members of ŠKODA Motorsport in Czech Republic.

ŠKODA UK Motorsport has been a mainstay in the IRC since 2010 and guided Mikkelsen to the IRC drivers’ crown in 2011 on the back of wins in Scotland and Cyprus.

Rogers is pictured left with Mikkelsen celebrating the latter’s IRC tittle triumph in Cyprus last November.
