Norbert Michelisz wants his winless run in the FIA World Touring Car Championship to come to an end.

The Hungarian has been a podium visitor six times in 2016, his first season as a Honda factory driver in the WTCC, but the top stop has so far eluded him.

“The last six races have been very good for me as I’ve scored points in all of them and made it to the podium four times, which has helped me to keep up a good position in the championship; only a few points away from second place overall,” said the double WTCC Trophy winner. “Winning is the most important thing individually but unfortunately it’s not come so far.”

With Termas de Río Hondo, venue for this weekend’s WTCC Race of Argentina, one of his favourites, Michelisz is hoping for a change of fortune.

“I’ve always liked Termas since 2013 when I drove on the track for the first time,” he said. “It’s one of my favourites. It’s wide and possible to overtake. When I started at the back of the field like last year I managed to finish fifth or sixth so I really like this race.”
