Darryl O’Young claimed an historical result last weekend at the Grand Prix Trois-Rivières in Canada, winning all the three races he took part in, at the wheel of an Open Road Racing Porsche GT3.

ROAL Motorsport’s driver wasted no time after the WTCC event in Argentina and flew from Santiago del Estero to Buenos Aires and then Montreal.

O’Young’s first victory came in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada, in which he took a light to flag victory from Chris Green and Jean-Frédérique Laberge. He later confirmed his dominance on the streets of Trois-Rivières with victories in the Canadian Super Car Series – ahead of Marco Cirone and André Belzille – and the historic Mayor’s Cup, in which he beat Etienne Borgeat and Cirone.

O’Young made history by becoming the first ever driver in the 46 year history of the Grand Prix Trois-Rivières to take three victories in the same weekend.

“GP3R is a classic Canadian street race and I’m honoured to have been able to race here and set this new record. Canadian fans are truly passionate and competing here has fulfilled one of my childhood dreams. I wish one day WTCC may come to this fantastic circuit." said O’Young.
