Ocean Racing Technology heads to Valencia, Spain, to dispute the 7th and 8th races of the 2010 GP2 Championship Series which are once again integrated into the Formula One GP programme.

The urban circuit, one of most modern in the world, holds some good memories for Ocean Racing Technology which, in 2009, secured a beautiful 4th place finish as well as a sixth placed finish thanks to Álvaro Parente and Karun Chandhok.

This year, the team’s pair of young drivers is confident that they will also be competitive in Spain.

"It is an interesting circuit and I think our set-up will be well adapted to the layout," Fabio Leimer explains. "I want to have a good qualifying session because, as we have seen in the past, position on the starting grid in the first race is decisive in the overall result of the weekend. It is all the more important on a street circuit where overtaking is not exactly a piece of cake! We have three days of hard work ahead of us but we are determined to find the best set-up and the best strategy. The team already knows Valencia and I don’t think it will be a problem to obtain the optimal commitment."

Max Chilton is also confident that he will be able to shine under the Valencia sun, the young English rookie continuing to acquire experience in the series. Like his teammate Max stresses that it is fundamental to start the weekend on the right foot.

"I’m looking forward to racing inValencia. It is a street track and we’ll have to find the best set-up as soon as the practice session in order to have a good qualifying. It is a crucial step to having two good races. I think the circuit will suit the car really well and Ocean Racing Technology were very competitive here last year," explained Chilton.

High temperatures are on the cards for the coming weekend around the Mediterranean Sea. The rain should not disrupt the action and temperatures could reach as high as 30°C which could complicate tyre management.
