“The fans were great”

Daniel Oliveira says the support he received from the Brazilian fans made up for the puncture that robbed him of sixth place on Rally Internacional de Curitiba.

The Brazilian lost approximately five minutes with a slow front-left puncture on Saturday’s opening stage, which dropped him to eighth overall before his comeback to seventh at the finish.

“The fans were great,” said Oliveira. “You cannot really here or see them on the stages but my father told me when I came to a corner they cheered a lot. That is great to know and has really helped me a lot.”

Oliveira’s puncture enabled Eduardo Scheer to finish as the top Brazilian driver in sixth overall in a Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancer.
