“I’m happy, proud and enthusiastic,” said a delighted Hugues de Chaunac at the signing of the partnership between Peugeot Sport and ORECA. “Since the launch of our challenge, our aim has been to join up with a major manufacturer with whom we can develop a long-term programme. And now, thanks to the decisive help of our four main partners, it’s done!”

2010: the fourth Peugeot 908 HDi FAP in ORECA colours!

In the final year of the current LM P1 regulations, the ORECA-Matmut team will run the 2010 version of the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP in the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Le Mans Series races. De Chaunac, who is very proud to have been selected from among several top teams, explains this choice: “It’s a programme that’ll provide us with a great deal of useful information at every level. From a sporting point of view, of course, as we’ll have a prototype
with exceptional potential, which has already proved its speed and reliability over the past three seasons. And in the technical field, we’re going to be working hand in glove with Peugeot. It’s the perfect opportunity to develop our relationship.”

2011 perspectives…

In parallel, the ORECA design office is already working on the design of the brand-new ORECA 02 prototype, whose engine will be badged Peugeot Sport. De Chaunac confirms the above: “Our technical team’s already hard at work and is collaborating closely with Peugeot Sport, all of which is helping us to design our future LM P1 prototype in the best possible circumstances. It would be difficult to begin this new phase of our challenge in better conditions.”
