The WRC summer-break is over, and the Petter Solberg World Rally Team is in Bulgaria, ready for the seasons first asphalt-event; Rally Bulgaria. HQ is based in the ski resort town Borovets, 70kms south of the capital Sofia. Servicepark is about 25kms east of Borovets.

It is the first time Bulgaria hosts a WRC-event, and all 14 tarmac-stages are completely new for all the drivers. It all kicks off with a ceremonial start in Borovets on Thursday evening, continues with 4 stages on Friday and 6 stages on Saturday, before it ends with 4 stages on Sunday. This event is also the debut-rally for Petter Solberg and his new codriver Chris Patterson.

"We have been testing here in Bulgaria for two days now, and I’m looking forward to start the rally", says Petter Solberg. "Both car and the new codriver works perfectly well. Of course, it will take some more time to get fully used to the new voice in the car, but we are getting there and I’m confident it will work very well in Bulgaria."
