Polestar’s motorsport boss Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin says his squad must keep working hard if it’s to build on its promising start to its debut season in the FIA World Touring Car Championship.

Volvo’s performance brand has claimed two top-five finishes, seven top 10s and one appearance in Qualifying Q3 from the opening four events of 2016 with drivers Thed Björk and Fredrik Ekblom.

However, speaking following a challenging FIA WTCC AFRIQUIA Race of Morocco for the team, Murdzevski Schedvin said: “The team had done a tremendous job, but this weekend also testifies that we will need to keep working hard going forward.

“We just completed the most intense part of the season and so far we are quite happy with the progress. We have managed it without any major technical issues and we have broken into Q3 and finished races within the top five.”
