Preparations for the second round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge continued today when the cars belonging to the six European-based competitors arrived in the service park in Curitiba.

The Škoda Fabia Super 2000s of Juho Hänninen, Jan Kopecký and Guy Wilks, plus the Peugeot 207 S2000s of Kris Meeke and Daniel Oliveira were shipped from Antwerp in Belgium at the start of February. Along with Bruno Mãgalhaes’ 207, which was freighted from Lisbon, they arrived in Brazil last week before being transported by road to Curitiba.

Following the finish of Rally Internacional de Curitiba, which starts on Thursday, the cars will be taken by road to Villa Carlos Paz, venue of Rally Argentina, the third round of the IRC from 19-21 March.

A total of 50 crews will tackle Rally Internacional de Curitiba, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this season.
