ROAL Motorsport, the Italy-based squad co-owned by touring car legend Roberto Ravaglia, made it two Yokohama Teams’ Trophy titles in as many years when its drivers, Tom Chilton and Tom Coronel, scored the points needed to prevent the rival Campos Racing outfit from clinching the prize.

Armed with a pair of Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1s, ROAL claimed the title by 13 points with Zengő Motorsport 21 points behind Campos in third. Sébastien Loeb Racing took fourth ahead of ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport, Craft-Bamboo, Honda Racing team Sweden and Proteam Racing.

Meanwhile, Chilton and Coronel were third and sixth respectively in the final Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy, the category for independent racers contesting the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
