Freddy Loix has claimed his third fastest stage time on the Geko Ypres Rally by winning the Show Wasquehal street stage in France in his Peugeot 207 Super 2000.

Loix, the seven-time Ypres winner, completed the 1.88-kilometre test in a time of 1m20.6s, 2.7s faster than event leader and former Intercontinental Rally Challenge champion Juho Hänninen in his ŠKODA Motorsport Fabia.

IRC Production Cup leader Andreas Aigner was a sensational third fastest in his lower-specification Subaru Impreza R4 STI, 3.6s down on Loix.

Pieter Tsjoen was fourth fastest with Oleksandr Saliuk fifth quickest for Dream Team Ukraine.

Crews are now heading back to Belgium for the 13.39-kilometre Kemmelberg stage, which begins at 16:21hrs local time.
