Marco Tempestini has set the pace on SS12 of Prime Yalta Rally after the Romanian driver clocked the fastest time on the 18.95-kilometre Opolznevoje 2 stage.

Crews competing on the 10th round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge left the rally base in Yalta after lunch for the event’s closing leg. Tempestini set a time of 12m33.4s through SS12 and is currently second on the overall IRC Production Cup leaderboard.

Robert Consani was second quickest through SS12 in his Renault Mégane RS and remains on track for a podium finish across three different categories: IRC, IRC Production Cup and IRC 2WD Cup.

Third quickest was László Vizin in a ŠKODA Fabia Super 2000, with the Ford Fiesta R2 driver of Murat Bustanci finishing 4.9s adrift of Vizin. Current rally leader Yağiz Avci was fifth fastest in an M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000.

In the overall classification, Avci leads Vizin by over three minutes. Consani remains third.
