Petter Solberg has rounded out day two’s action with victory on the Karlstad superspecial.

The 2003 world champion, driving a Citroen DS3 WRC, set a time of 1m38.9s over the purpose-built course at Karlstad’s trotting stadium, which was two-tenths of a second faster than Jari-Matti Latvala managed in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

Back on form following repairs to his Fiesta’s powersteering, PG Andersson posted the third fastest time, which was two-tenths of a second faster Mads Ostberg achieved in another Fiesta.

Rally leader Mikko Hirvonen was one-tenth of a second slower than Ostberg. It means his overall leads has been cut from 7.5 to 7.4s heading into Sunday’s final six stages.
