Dani Sordo has cut Sebastien Ogier’s overall lead to 4.9s with four stages of Rallye de France Alsace remaining after he topped the times through stage 19, the 10.61-kilometre Vignoble de Cleebourg test.

Spanish driver Sordo was 1.5s quicker than Citroen star Ogier as he continues to eat into the Frenchman’s lead in pursuit of his and MINI’s maiden victory in the World Rally Championship.

Petter Solberg dropped more than 20 seconds when he spun his privateer Citroen. However, the Norwegian still has a comfortable margin over fourth-placed Jari-Matti Latvala, who won Sunday’s opening stage in his factory Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
