Juho Hänninen continues to top the Barum Czech Rally Zlín leaderboard following his second stage victory on the Intercontinental Rally Challenge counter.

The 2010 IRC champion completed the 11.38-kilometre Lukov stage in 6m40.0s, just one second faster than ŠKODA Motorsport team-mate Jan Kopecký. In the battle for outright victory, Hänninen’s lead over Kopecký stands at 3.4s with one stage of day one remaining. “It was much drier on this stage, we had good grip for this stage but we’ll see for the next one,” said the Finn.

Andreas Mikkelsen, who equalled Kopecký’s time, reported that his ŠKODA UK entry was “moving a lot” on the bumpy surface. He’s 12.1s off the lead heading to the Tesák stage, which is understood to be wetter.

Roman Kresta was fourth quickest in his self-run Fabia with Patrik Flodin sixth fastest, despite a soft set-up resulting in the sump guard on his M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000 touching the ground on occasion.
