Despite efforts to run the stage, damage caused by overnight flooding has forced organisers to cancel SS12, Rio Pesqueiro, which had been due to run at 13:25 local time. Crews will now remain in service in Curitiba until 13:00 when they will head off in convoy to the start of SS13, Quatro Barras 2, which will now become the penultimate stage of the rally.
Skoda UK Motorsport’s Guy Wilks, who is currently in second place, 35.4s behind leader Kris Meeke, said: “Reduced mileage on any event is never good. If the battle for the lead had still been on then it would have been bad news but the positions are pretty much settled now.”
