Petter Solberg has tipped his driver Patrik Flodin for more Intercontinental Rally Challenge success when the all-action series resumes on Barum Czech Rally Zlín from 31 August-2 September.

Flodin will be making his debut on the asphalt event, four stages of which will be televised live on Eurosport and Czech TV, on the back of his maiden podium finish in the IRC on the Sibiu Rally in Romania last month on board his PS Engineering-run M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000.

“It’s back on Tarmac and all about improving and improving with the Hankook tyres,” said Solberg. “They’re working hard and Patrik did a very good rally the last time and let’s hope they can make a successful rally again.”

Although he attended the Sibiu Rally to support his young Swedish star, Solberg confirmed his next visit to an IRC rally will be in Sanremo in October. “My wife Pernilla will be in Zlín, I will go to Sanremo,” said Solberg.
