Spanish FIA World Rally Championship star Dani Sordo says he has no plans to leave the Prodrive WRC Team for a rival squad ahead of the 2013 season.

The former Junior world champion has driven for Prodrive since 2011 and is set to tackle at least two more rounds of this year’s series in one of the firm’s MINI John Cooper Works WRCs.

Reports in the media have linked Sordo to switch back to Citroen or to Ford, with whom he contested Philips Rally Argentina in April in place of the injured Jari-Matti Latvala.

“I want to wait first for the plans of MINI,” Sordo told Motorsport News. “This is my team now, I will listen to what MINI is doing - I love this team and these guys. There is so much experience at Prodrive, everybody knows what they are doing. At the moment there is no news for me for next season. I hear a lot every day but I want to know MINI’s plans.”

However, having contested only selected events in the last two seasons, Sordo is keen on a full roster of rallies next year, when the WRC will again consist of 13 rounds.

“If I can do everything, then it’s good,” Sordo continued. “I want to do the full championship again.”
