Campos Racing’s Dušan Borković has spent one day of testing at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya in preparation for the last four racing weekends that will take place in Asia.

Borković drove his team-mate Hugo Valente’s Chevrolet RML Cruze car since his own Cruze is currently in Asia, sealed inside its container waiting for the hearing of the appeal the team lodged against the penalty after the second race in Argentina.

“After a month and a half it felt great being back at the wheel. We tested a few changes and I hope they will result in a improvement straight from the Beijing races. I am looking forward to the Asian events and hope I will be able to finish all the remaining races without problems,” said Borković.

The Serbian driver is already looking forward to the 2015 season. “To revive the Independents’ Trophy for the TC1 class was a sensible idea, because privateers like me don’t have the means to compete with the factory drivers for the top positions of the overall standings. I am very excited and together with my team we will be doing our best to prepare the next season. WTCC is one of the most prestigious FIA championships and is an honour to be a part of it!”
