A superspecial stage through the streets of Carlos Paz will be among the highlights when the Intercontinental Rally Challenge visits Argentina for the first time next month.
Scheduled to run from 19-21 March, Rally Argentina, which will take place for the 30th time this year, will count as the third round of the IRC.
The superspecial stage will measure approximately 1600 metres in length and will cover most of the centre of Carlos Paz, which is 35 kilometres from the city of Córdoba and is located by the banks of the picturesque San Roque Lake.
The stage will be used to open the event on the evening of Friday 19 March before it brings the action to a close on the afternoon of Sunday 21 March.
Saturday’s stages will run in the Calamuchita valley with Sunday’s route taking in the gravel roads of the Punilla valley.
Several leading runners from the IRC will be competing on Rally Argentina, including defending champion Kris Meeke and factory Škoda drivers Jan Kopecký and Juho Hänninen, plus Dakar Rally runner-up Nasser Al-Attiyah and local heroes Marcos Ligato, Gabriel Pozzo and Federico Villagra, the multiple national champion.
