Nicolas Roux proved it’s not just Intercontinental Rally Challenge drivers who are at the peak of physical fitness when he finished 10th overall on the gruelling Tour de l’Oisans ultra-marathon.

Andreas Mikkelsen’s rally engineer is a keen ultra-marathon participant and completed the 180-kilometre course in a little more than 38 hours, which smashed his 40h45m target time.

The event, based near Grenoble in France, featured an elevation of 12,500 metres and took place in challenging weather conditions with rain, fog and even snow. Roux was one of the 240 out of 300 starters who reached the finish.

“It was an amazing adventure and I was not too much destroyed, except my feet”, he said.
