New for 2016, the TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy has further intensified the level of competition in the FIA World Touring Car Championship with drivers vying for the prize – and an engraved TAG Heuer watch – at each round of the WTCC.
Going to the driver setting the fastest lap of all between the Opening Race and Main Race, the award has been something of a José María López benefit with Citroën’s star performer setting the standard on five occasions. Rob Huff is a double winner, while Tom Chilton, Ferenc Ficza and Hugo Valente have also claimed the honours.
