Oleksii Tamrazov has been forced to retire from Giru di Corsica-Tour de Corse.

The Dream Team Ukraine driver was in 17th overall at the completion of day two of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge event and was 100 metres from the overnight parc fermé in Bastia when the crank sensor failed on his M-Sport Ford Fiesta S2000.

Despite efforts to replace the broken component on the road section heading to first service in Macinaggio this morning, Tamrazov went over the time limit and was forced to stop.

Co-driver Nicola Arena explained: “We brought the part so we could work on the car after parc fermé. We replaced the part but we did not have enough time for the road section and went OTL. It is very disappointing.”
