Harry Hunt’s co-driver Robbie Durant has revealed that they are drinking more than three litres of water on every loop of stages on Rally San Marino due to the high ambient temperatures.

Durant reported the outside temperature reaching 37 degrees centigrade earlier today, while the temperature inside their Citroën DS3 R3T topped 47 degrees centigrade.

“It’s very hot, we’ve obviously got no air conditioning and we’re wearing black overalls,” said Durant.

After 10 stages Hunt and Durant hold a lead of 1m27.8s in the IRC 2WD Cup over Italians Paolo Diana and Andrea Mini. Their closest rivals in the points standings, Robert Consani and Nicolas Klinger, lost time when they spun their Renault Clio R3 on stage eight, losing approximately 30 seconds.
