Trident Racing ready for Jerez test

The quick break followed to the last round of the 2011 GP2 Series season is already over.

This week, Trident Racing will be back on-track at the Spanish Jerez De La Frontera race course, for the first collective test of the offseason. Teams and drivers will be on-track on Wednesday and Thursday.

For Trident Racing, this will be a valuable occasion to start preparing and collecting data for 2012. One of the team’s two cars will be lined-up for Colombian Julian Leal, who joined Trident back in 2010, running in AutoGP.

On Wednesday, the second car will see Josef Kral behind the wheel. On day 2 then, the Czech racer will hand the ride to Sam Bird.

Luca Zerbini, Managing Director : "We’re really satisfied with our driver line-up for the test at Jerez. We’ll have three really talented drivers, experienced in the series and really familiar with its Dallara-Renault racecar. That will allow us to complete an huge amount of work in the two days on-track. The testing schedule will then bring us to Barcelona, where we plan to have also some younger racers looking to make their championship approach. We’ll keep following our tradition of relying on the talent of promising youngsters."
