Frigyes Turán is not only winning the battle to be top Subaru Impreza driver on Rally Liepāja-Ventspils, he’s also heading the race to be the first Hungarian at the finish on Sunday afternoon.
In total there are four Hungarians in action on the FIA European Rally Championship event with Gergély Szabó, János Puskádi and Kornél Lukács also taking part.
“We are having a fun race between the Hungarian drivers and now I am leading so I am very proud of that,” said Turán. “But we are all good friends and have a good connection together so we are all proud for each other.”
Of Turán’s countrymen, Szabó is 14th, Puskádi 22nd and Lukács 25th in his two-wheel-drive Citroën C2 R2 Max.
