Vouilloz wants more Skoda IRC outings

"maybe on the asphalt events"

Nicolas Vouilloz doesn’t want his third place finish on the Monte Carlo Rally to be his only appearance with the Skoda Motorsport team in this year’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge.

The French driver, IRC champion in 2008, finished third on the series opener in a Fabia S2000 supported by Skoda France. It was the first time he’d driven one of the Czech machines in competition, the first time he’d linked up with navigator Benjamin Veillas, and the first time in four attempts that he had finished the rally.

Vouilloz, 33, said: “I’d like to thank Skoda France for this opportunity to compete on this event. As for the rest of the season nothing is decided but I would like the chance to help the team again, maybe on the asphalt events in the second half of season. I like the car and it is very competitive but there is nothing in place beyond this event.”
