Sepp Wiegand was fastest on the second of two shakedown stages for the Sibiu Rally, round eight of the all-action Intercontinental Rally Challenge.

Driving a ŠKODA Auto Deutschland Fabia Super 2000, Wiegand set a time of 2m09.10s over the 3.4-kilometre course situated approximately six kilometres from the event’s host city in Romania.

Organisers prepared two shakedown runs with defending IRC champion Andreas Mikkelsen electing to tackle the 1.9-kilometre Shakedown 1 stage only. No official times were made available for that stage although Mikkelsen’s ŠKODA UK Motorsport team confirmed its Norwegian ace took 1m11s to complete his only pass.
