Sepp Wiegand has vowed not to get complacent and instead continue building his experience in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge on Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés this week.

Wiegand impressed by finishing fourth overall on SATA Rallye Açores last month, which marked his debut in the IRC and the first time he’d tackled the challenging rally in the mid-Atlantic.

“I was super happy with this result; to be honest I did not really expect to be in the top five on my first time in Açores,” said Wiegand. “The car was perfect but I made some mistakes myself so I know that it could have been even better. We have to keep improving, with the driving and the pacenotes as well.”
