Guy Wilks says he would “love” to finish on the podium on Rallye Monte-Carlo tonight.

The double British champion is making his debut for Peugeot UK in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and is less than 10 seconds behind third-placed Škoda driver Freddy Loix with four stages of the legendary event remaining.

Wilks, who will celebrate his 30th birthday on Saturday, said: “I would love to finish on the podium but we need to think about our strategy with the team. This rally has been really good for us so far and it’s great to be able to think about rallying again rather than worrying about everything else. I’m really enjoying working with this team.”
